smaller goods + decor items
All Domestic US purchases of smaller goods and decor items are shipped by UPS or USPS. All orders are shipped from Newburyport, MA, unless otherwise stated. Please note: Time frames listed are once payment has been processed, which can take up to 7 business days.
Domestic shipping costs are calculated by item weight. Please note that changes to an address cannot be made after 48 hours of order receipt. Once an order has shipped, we cannot make any changes. Additionally, once the item is picked up by the carrier, it is no longer under our control. If an item arrives damaged, you must report this to us within 24 hours to resolve this issue. We reserve the right to deny any damage claims after 24 hours have passed.
All decor orders over $1000 qualify for free shipping except for freight furniture, lighting, art and wall decor, which may incur additional freight charges due to size and weight.
Massachusetts local delivery is available for furnishings 25 miles from our warehouse in Wakefield, MA. This is charged at a flate rate of $150. All orders sold and shipped within the state of Massachusetts are subject to a 6.25% sales tax. Shipping rates are subject to change at any time and without notice.
LARGE PARCEL DELIVERIES
In addition to oversize lighting and rugs, most furniture and artwork are delivered by a third-party delivery service provider and marked "Freight Shipping." Items are shipped at an oversized item rate calculated in your cart. For some furniture pieces, you may receive your freight charges in a separate email. Freight charges vary due to the size of the item and the location it is being shipped to. Shipping charges may also include a domestic handling fee. Tariff Charges may apply to some items, which we are unaware of until our vendors send a shipment notification.
If furnishings are in stock, most pieces ship within 3-4 weeks of order receipt, unless otherwise specified. Custom pieces usually ship within 8-10 weeks. Transit typically takes 7-10 business days. This timeframe includes hub transfers, sorting and inspections. When ready to be delivered, a local carrier will reach out directly to schedule the delivery.
We ask that you take the time to inspect your item upon its arrival yourself or with the delivery company before releasing them.

Baran Home will not be held liable for any damages after the product has left the warehouse or after the delivery company has delivered your item.
Any transit damage discovered after the fact and not noted in writing on the bill of lading will preclude a damage claim with the appropriate company. It is the responsibility of the receiver to inspect all items before signing off on the BOL or allowing the driver to leave. If your order arrives in such a condition, please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org. Baran Home will accept responsibility for any defective or damaged product if determined to be a manufacturing or quality issue.
Some furniture and decor will ship directly from our vendors rather than our warehouse. Stock can change at any time. We cannot control vendor backorders and can only control what we stock and ship from the Baran Home warehouse.
PRE-ORDER + BACKORDERED ITEMS
All orders containing a pre-order item will ship as a whole order when the item becomes available unless in-stock items are requested to ship separately.
We try our best to keep our site up-to-date with the most accurate stock and estimated shipping timeframes. Changes to an estimated shipping timeframe attributed to a delay in production may occur and are subject to change. Please note that freight-shipped items cannot be canceled due to a backorder or pre-order status. A cancellation for pre-orders cannot be processed once the order has shipped.
All decor and small goods are available for in-store pickup. Some art may also be available for in-store pickup (based on size). Please note that most art is shipped via freight and shipping charges cannot be waived for in-store pickup.
At this time, we only ship within the United States. If you wish to request a special international order, please email us at email@example.com for a shipping quote.
Due to the current pandemic, we are experiencing delays on stock shipments from within the USA and our global makers. Ports are closed across the globe and we are doing our best to get our restocks in a timely manner. If we have an ETA for restock, please understand this may change.
